The scene was filmed at Casa de Pilatos, a historic house of the Duchess of Medinaceli in Seville. Construction began in 1483 in the Italian Renaissance style and is covered with extensive azulejo tiles by Diego and Juan Pulido. The complex is two stories high and contains a traditional courtyard with a fountain and a pair of enclosed gardens.
