The scene was filmed at The East Lawn Building, opened in 1930, which housed the chronic women's ward, is the largest building in Riverview. The building was designed to accommodate 675 patients, but by the 1950s it housed over 1,400 people. The building was closed in 2005 and has since been used for film shoots.

The scene was filmed at This large building, occupying an entire block in downtown Vancouver, was Canada Post's main sorting facility from 1958 until it was sold in 2013 when a new facility opened near the airport. Originally, there was a kilometer-long underground tunnel leading to the waterfront so mail could be delivered directly from ships to the facility. After the office closed, it became very popular with film crews, and some even used it as a filming location.

The scene was filmed at A large stadium in downtown Vancouver, BC Place, originally opened in 1983 with an inflatable roof. After the roof was torn and deflated in 2007, the stadium was renovated and a retractable roof was installed (those tall columns above the building support the new roof).
