The scene was filmed at Lake Gregory is an artificial lake in the San Bernardino National Forest. The area, originally known as Houston Flat, was developed and named after its developer, Redlands citrus grower Arthur Gregory Sr. Gregory bought and developed the land in the area known today as Moon Valley. Today, the western part of the lake is home to Lake Gregory Regional Park with swimming and water slides, and a walking trail runs around the lake.
