This film is the third part of the historical cycle «Rus», dedicated to key events and outstanding personalities who played an important role in the formation of the Russian Empire. The plot centers on the reign of Catherine II, who came to power as a result of a coup and strengthened Russia's position as a world power. The film was shot in the majestic historical locations of St. Petersburg. A special role in creating the luxurious atmosphere was played by filming in Peterhof, where the fountains of the Lower Park, palace interiors, and panoramic views of the Gulf of Finland emphasized the spirit of the royal residence. These places gave the film historical authenticity and a sense of immersion in the grandeur of the 18th-century Russian Empire.

Scene where a lacquered carriage glides smoothly over an elegant arched bridge in Peterhof Park. The horses step steadily on the pavement, their hooves barely clicking on the smooth stone. Behind the carriage rises the majestic Grand Peterhof Palace, shining in the sun's rays. Cascades of sparkling fountains rush towards it.

The scene was filmed at the State Museum-Reserve "Peterhof". This is one of the most majestic palace and park ensembles in Russia, located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. This luxurious complex, created according to the design of Peter the Great, impresses with its scale and splendor. At the center of the ensemble rises the Grand Peterhof Palace, adorned with stucco, columns, and gilded details. Thanks to its rich architecture, well-groomed gardens, and atmosphere of the tsarist era, Peterhof became an ideal location for filming historical movies.

The scene was filmed on the main historical square of St. Petersburg – Palace Square. In the center stands the Alexander Column, erected in honor of the victory over Napoleon. On one side of the square is the Winter Palace — the luxurious residence of Russian emperors, built in the Elizabethan Baroque style. Its emerald-white facade with columns, stucco, and gilded elements creates a festive atmosphere. This place has become a symbol of Russian history and a ceremonial stage for many significant events, as well as a magnificent cinematic location.
