Suzdal has been my crystal dream since I was 14. It happens — it's not far, but somehow I never got there. Couldn't gather myself, find the right company, or fit this item into the endless cycle of tasks.
But dreams are meant to come true! And this spring, the long-awaited trip finally happened.
Of course, Vladimir was also part of it. I walked it far and wide. I was impressed by Andrei Rublev's frescoes (15th century, mind you) in the Assumption Cathedral, the grandeur of the cathedral itself, and the amazing views of the city. As someone born and living in St. Petersburg, I'm not used to constantly seeing a panorama while walking around a city. Vladimir is one big observation deck. Unusual and beautiful!
But Suzdal — I didn't get enough of it. It's so quiet, and the churches are beautiful, painted like candies. Everything is so sweet and peaceful. I didn't want to leave at all!
In short, one dream replaces another: I'll be back 😉
