The first stop in Tuscany was the Bolgheri region; we had no plans for Tenuta San Guido (producer of Sassicaia) or Ornellaia, instead we went to Tenuta Argentiera.

I was generally familiar with their wines, good value for money with Poggio ai Ginepri.
But overall everything is fine, base it on your budget.

The winery has a very beautiful tree-lined avenue (they seem to be pines), you feel like a child in a fairy tale about adventures.

Afterwards we went for lunch at the anti-nori Osteria del Tasso (recommended) and then climbed up small winding roads to the Grattamacco winery (also highly recommended).

Photos of the restaurant and winery will be in the comments.
