For reasons unknown to myself, I always wanted to visit the Isole e Olena winery in Chianti Classico.
There were no groups or reservations for our day (everything was closed for visits), but we decided to go there anyway, thinking that at worst we would just walk around.
But we were lucky: the winery, as it turned out, was operating in a semi-open mode, expecting such impudent people like us.
The tasting cost 30 euros, which included three wines and a "sample" of olive oil:
Chianti Classico 2023 (29 euros)
Syrah 2021 (75 euros)
Gran Selezione 2016 (100 euros)
As a bonus they poured Cepparello 2022 (125 euros)
Everyone can judge the prices for themselves, but all 4 wines are top-notch, the average level is very high, even for the "basic" Chianti Classico.
Then we walked around the winery for half an hour, which looked more like a mini-village on a hill.
I liked it, my intuition didn't let me down.
A few more photos will be in the comments.
