
Plan-actual often hides the truth 🤔
There is a type of analysis called plan-actual. We look at performance over N days, months, quarters.
If we met the plan, we're great; if not, heads will roll 😡
But if we look at it directly, we won't notice how over the course of a year, just a couple of bad periods can ruin our plan. To see the performance trend, it's worth using calculations with a cumulative total.
