On May 9, I have a small tradition - I check digitized archives. This year, a new pleasant discovery - I found the city of birth of my great-grandfather. Everyone thought he was born somewhere in Siberia, but it turned out, according to documents, that it was the city of Vladivostok.

I also discovered that Yandex has a search for digitized archives, very interesting, but unfortunately it does not yet have the archives of the Tsaritsyn Governorate, which I need. I'll wait for them.

And finally, I drew a family tree, recording all the information I know.

But inside myself, I cannot clearly answer why I am doing this. So along with searching for information, I am also looking for an answer to this question.
