Apple TV has renewed the comedy hit 'Margot's Got Money Troubles' for a second season — the first season finale airs May 20, but for Margot's story, this is not the end.

The adaptation of Rufi Thorpe's novel from A24 and showrunner David E. Kelly has been a "must-watch" from the start, earning a fresh certification on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling it "one of the best series of the year" for its warm, funny, and very accurate take on family and money.

Starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman, who also serve as executive producers, the cast also includes Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Marsha Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, and others. The series follows Margot, a college dropout and aspiring writer who must survive with a newborn baby, mounting bills, and fewer and fewer ways to pay them.

Elle Fanning says that "the adventure of bringing Margot to the screen is one of the greatest joys" of her life and that the second season will be a "wild, messy, and incredibly beautiful ride." David E. Kelly admits he fell in love with Rufi Thorpe's world and unpredictable characters from day one and is glad the story will continue.

The seventh, penultimate episode of 'Margot's Got Money Troubles' is now available on Apple TV, with the first season finale airing May 20. For the second season, writer Eva Anderson will join Kelly as co-showrunner, with A24 still handling production.
