Food Trends in 2026

In a rapidly changing world, consumers cannot manage global changes, but they can manage their meals.

We found three trends that will change our eating habits in the new year.

The "Me-Me-Me" Economy

The number of individual meals among consumers continues to grow—in 2025, it reached 47%. People want more personalization in food, even when they are in company. Among Gen Z and millennials, the pizza format, which can be ordered in an individual and convenient size, was especially popular in 2025.

Choice of Taste as Therapy

In moments of stress, people seek not just to treat themselves to food, but also to regain a sense of control. And sauces do this best! According to consumers, sauces are 2.4 times more likely than other products to bring joy, and their variety allows for experimentation with familiar foods.

Pleasure Over Money

Buyers are increasingly less concerned about money—emotions come first. 62% of consumers believe that a good deal is "something cheap and accessible," so products that combine a low price with a sense of everyday luxury are becoming popular.
