Almost all filming took place at an operating nuclear power plant, namely the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant located in the city of Kurchatov. Underwater scenes were filmed in Hungary at the Origo Studios pavilions. The film was also shot in Croatia, Moscow, Zelenograd, and Troitsk.
