The scene was filmed at the Million Dollar Theater — one of the first movie theaters built in the United States. It opened in 1917 with the premiere of William S. Hart's 'The Silent Man.' The theater was the first movie theater built by Sid Grauman, who also was responsible for Grauman's Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. For a time, the theater served as a Spanish-language church. Since 2006, it has been abandoned.
