Here is the final recap of the final season of 'The Boys', which has been with us for 7 years. I can't say that the last season turned out to be either great or a failure. It took a long time to get going, often little happened, sometimes the pace suddenly accelerated – in short, it was uneven.

But I liked the ending because it a) for the most part rhymes with the very first episode (the circle closed, so to speak) b) brought the characters to a logical conclusion of their personal arcs.

I partly understand the wave of indignation online, because according to all promotional materials and audience expectations, there should have been some epic at the end. But 'The Boys' is not Marvel and was never about epic. For some reason, many forgot about that. It has always been a show about satire, about reflecting reality, about simple and relatable characters (even with superpowers), about mockery and toilet humor, about exploding heads and reproductive organs as weapons. In this regard, Kripke and co. did not change themselves. They didn't grow up, didn't become gloomier (where else could they), didn't scale up.

And if the series taught anything, it was to accept people as they are. And this series should also be accepted as it is. Or not watch it. It's up to everyone.
