The series "Yellowstone" was almost entirely filmed in Montana, USA. Moreover, most of the filming took place on one ranch, the roads around it, and a small town. But there are separate scenes in offices and Texas, exhibitions and urban locations were filmed in the states of Utah, Texas, Arizona in many cities. There is also no geographical correspondence; many offices and buildings shown as nearby in the film are actually in different cities, and the Dutton ranch itself, which according to the plot neighbors Yellowstone National Park, is actually quite far away.

The scene was filmed at the Chief Joseph Ranch—this is not a set, but a real working ranch. The family raises cows, horses, and does roughly the same as the series characters, just without banditry, shootouts, etc. The ranch was built by settlers in 1880. It was originally known as the Shelton Ranch. Now it also operates in agritourism, so you can book a spot and visit it.
