The film tells the story of the defense of the Adzhimushkay quarries in May 1942. During the bombings, several detachments of the Crimean Front and local residents took refuge in these quarries. The main character is a modern boy who, with the help of neural network technologies, travels to the past. He faces a choice: search for lost artifacts or help the defenders of the quarries. He decides to stay with them, sharing all the hardships of that life, and most importantly, gives hope to those people. The main part of the filming was carried out on sets that recreated the Adzhimushkay quarries, as well as in the exhibitions of the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.

The guide enthusiastically talks about the battles, but the boy is more absorbed in his own thoughts. His attention is suddenly drawn to an inconspicuous passage deeper into the exhibition. Slightly separated from the other halls, it looks strange – a semi-dark room with a single object in the center: a massive chair, more like experimental equipment than a museum exhibit.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill — one of the largest memorial spaces in Russia dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Filming here offers extensive opportunities thanks to the monumental architecture, vast exhibitions, and historical atmosphere. The museum building is a majestic structure with a high colonnade and a massive dome, under which the central part of the complex is located. Inside are spacious halls with thematic exhibitions recreating battle scenes, trench lines, military equipment, and wartime objects.

Scene where using modern technology, the hero travels to the past, namely to the Adzhimushkay quarries in May 1942. Around him, shots ring out, screams and the sound of running people are heard everywhere. In the distance, light flashes from explosions, illuminating the dusty vaults of the quarries. The hero panics, trying to understand what is happening.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the Mosfilm studio, where large-scale sets recreating the Adzhimushkay quarries were built for filming. A network of tunnels with stone walls, wooden supports, and uneven passages was set up in the pavilion. The space was designed with historical accuracy: rough wall textures, crumbling rock, traces of soot, and minimal lighting create a realistic atmosphere of an underground shelter.
