The scene was filmed at The James Oviatt Building is a historic Art Deco high-rise built in 1928 for successful haberdasher James Oviatt. The main entrance is adorned with a 12-ton illuminated glass canopy and an arcade ceiling designed by Ferdinand Chanut and Gaëtan Jeannin. The impressive Art Deco lobby and mezzanine were converted into the Cicada restaurant and dance club.

The scene was filmed at The Hearn Generating Station is a decommissioned power plant originally built as coal-fired in 1951 and converted to natural gas in the 1970s. The station was closed in the 1980s, and the site has been largely unused since. Most of the equipment inside was removed in 2002 when plans were made to turn the site into a film studio, but those plans were eventually abandoned.

The scene was filmed at Union Station in Toronto is the largest railway station in Canada and the third station to bear this name. Construction began in 1914 east of the old station, but although the building was completed in 1920, trains only began running through it in 1927 due to a dispute over tracks. In 1975, the building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, and in 1999 it was inducted into the Railway Hall of Fame. Currently, the station serves Via Rail, Amtrak, and GO Transit trains, as well as the dedicated Union Pearson Express to the airport and subway trains passing through the station under Front Street.
