This location was ideal for filming due to its unusual architecture, combining elements of Soviet brutalism and modernism. Inside the precinct, a working environment was recreated where employees investigate fairy-tale crimes. The creators of the series decided to build a pavilion for filming inside the precinct so as not to distract TASS employees from their work, which allowed for a more controlled and convenient filming environment.
