The film was shot in Leningrad. Since most scenes take place in the interiors of apartments and private houses, the creators needed a small area that could authentically convey the atmosphere of an Irkutsk suburb with a railway station. A suitable location was found at the "Rzhevka" station. The film crew selected several houses from the first quarter of the 19th century that were already scheduled for demolition. After filming was completed, the buildings where the film's characters lived were indeed demolished.

The scene where Vladimir Busygin and his new friend Silva rush to catch the last train. They run swiftly to the station, as the next train will not be until 6 a.m. Unfortunately, despite their persistence and haste, they miss the last train, which departs right before their eyes.

In Reality

The scene was filmed At Rzhevka station, located on the Oktyabrskaya Railway in Russia. This station is an atmospheric place with a historical spirit and industrial flavor. It is situated on the outskirts of St. Petersburg and serves as one of the oldest railway stations in the region.

Sarafanov's Apartment

In the Film

The scene where Andrei Grigorievich Sarafanov leaves his apartment at night for a very important conversation with Natalya. In general, rarely do trivial conversations occur at such a time of day. Throwing a coat over his shoulders, he goes to the heroine's house.

In Reality

The scene was filmed On Shosse Revolyutsii, presumably at house No. 63. There, the film crew rented part of the building. The Sarafanovs' apartment was furnished to be as natural as possible and close to real apartments of that time.

Natalya's House

In the Film

The scene where As we already understood, Andrei Sarafanov came to talk to Natalya. She asks displeasedly: "Who else is there?" We do not judge Natalya, because nighttime conversations are not easy. However, she lets Andrei into the house for a dialogue.

In Reality

The scene was filmed Opposite the Sarafanovs' house, also near Shosse Revolyutsii. This location was convenient for both the film crew and the shot. We see how the character of Yevgeny Leonov runs a couple of meters and there he is, already near Natalya's house.
