The scene was filmed at RMS Queen Mary - a British ocean liner that first set sail in 1936 as the flagship of the Cunard-White Star Line. The ship sailed the Southampton-New York route and held the speed record on this route until 1952. In 1967, the Queen Mary was decommissioned due to the development of jet transport and moved to Long Beach, where it has been permanently docked ever since. Currently, the ship houses a hotel, several restaurants, and a museum, and is listed as a historic site.

The scene was filmed at Built in the 1930s to consolidate several different railway services, this grand terminal was erected on the ruins of the city's original Chinatown at a cost of $11 million. The station was designed primarily by John and Donald Parkinson in a mishmash of various styles. Across the tracks, connected by an underground tunnel, is the Patsaouras Transit Plaza, designed by Ehrenkrantz & Eckstut, where several bus lines run and metro offices are located.

S.S. Lane Victory

The scene was filmed at S.S. Lane Victory - a Victory-class cargo ship built in 1945 during World War II to deliver food and aid across the Pacific. The ship resumed service during the Korean War to assist in the evacuation of thousands of military personnel and civilians. It was last commissioned to deliver ammunition and cargo during the Vietnam War, after which it was placed in preservation. In 1992, the ship underwent extensive repairs and modernization in dry dock and has since served as a museum and training ship.
