There is a famous phrase: "The more effective a manager is, the less they work with their hands."

Perhaps it's true.

But when I was building my startups, this formula didn't work.

How else? We're a team. All in the same boat.
Yes, we duplicated tasks.
Yes, we rowed in different directions.
But we're a startup — we're forgiven?!


Now, in a large company, I lead several projects. I realized that the old logic no longer works.

Now I gather specialists. And I only do what I'm good at.

P.S. Maybe it should have been that way in startups too?
