The second part of the story about the turtles saving New York from villains was filmed in the USA and Brazil. Principal photography took place in New York, using real city streets and landmarks. The frame features such landmarks as Grand Central Terminal, Madison Square Garden, the American Museum of Natural History, Times Square, and Liberty Island. Other memorable locations include Vazac's Horseshoe bar and the Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park. In Brazil, scenes related to the search for portal fragments were shot. For this purpose, Foz do Iguaçu was ideal, providing unique natural landscapes and adding exoticism to the film.
