The film, based on the story «Taganok» by the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim, tells the story of boys from a village who are inspired by the film «Timur and His Team». They create their own squad «Taganok» and set off to a mountain lake to stock it with fish. Filming took place in 2018 in the village of Tolparovo, Gafuriysky District. The fictional Mount Kiramet was portrayed by the Bashkir shikhans Yuraktau and Toratau. The film was entirely shot in the Bashkir language, and the Russian dubbing was created by the animation film studio «Melnitsa» in St. Petersburg with the participation of professional voice actors.

The scene was filmed in the village of Tolparovo, located in the picturesque Gafuriysky District of Bashkortostan. The village has preserved its traditional way of life, with wooden houses, cozy streets, and hospitable residents, which added authenticity to the film. This location allowed conveying the atmosphere of a mid-20th century Bashkir village, where nature and daily life merge, creating a unique flavor.

Riverbank

The scene where the driver and projectionist Sharifulla drives an old car along the riverbank, making his way to the village. The wheels keep sinking into the soft ground, and sometimes they are completely submerged in water. Around him stretches a dense forest covering the slopes of hills and the foothills of majestic mountains.

In Reality

The scene was filmed on the Zilim River, one of the most picturesque rivers of Bashkortostan, flowing through the Gafuriysky District. It originates in the spurs of the Ural Mountains and, after covering about 215 kilometers, flows into the Belaya River. The banks of the Zilim are diverse: in some sections they are low floodplain meadows, in others steep cliffs composed of limestone rocks. The river flows through forested areas, and its waters are clear, sometimes with a bluish tint, especially in deep places.

In Reality

The scene was filmed near the shikhans Yuraktau and Toratau, which are located in Bashkortostan. They are two majestic natural objects, ideal for filming against a backdrop of wild nature. Yuraktau is a massif with a height of about 550 meters, and Toratau, slightly lower, reaches 470 meters. Both shikhans from afar look like huge, forest-covered hills that stand out against the surrounding landscape.
