🆘 Anthropic: Project Glasswing discovers 10,000 critical software vulnerabilities in first month

The limited Claude Mythos Preview model scanned over 1,000 open-source projects in about a month.

Mythos Preview identified about 6,202 high and critical severity vulnerabilities out of 23,019 total findings in open-source codebases.

Of 1,752 findings with a critical rating, 90.6% — that is, 1,587 — turned out to be real vulnerabilities. Mozilla found and fixed 271 vulnerabilities in Firefox 150 using Mythos Preview.

Anthropic acknowledged that analogs will become available to the market within 6-18 months.
