The scene was filmed at King's Cross Station. The station was built by the Midland Railway in 1868 as a London terminus for its railway line. The station was designed by William Henry Barlow with a single-span iron roof, the largest such roof at the time, measuring 75 meters in length. In the early 2000s, the platforms were extended with a new train shed to allow the station to accommodate longer Eurostar trains arriving through the tunnel. Once construction was completed, work began on the hotel in front of the station, designed by architect George Gilbert Scott in an Italian Gothic style using polychrome brickwork. The hotel operated until 1935, when it was converted into offices, but in 2011 it was renovated and turned back into a hotel.
