The scene was filmed A Gothic Revival mansion built in 1914 for Sir Henry Mill Pellatt for the princely sum of $3.5 million. After several owners, in 1933 the mansion became city property and was soon leased to the Kiwanis Club for 74 years. The mansion is currently open for tours.

The scene was filmed Union Station in Toronto is the largest railway station in Canada and the third station to bear this name. Construction of the station began in 1914 east of the old station, but although the building was completed in 1920, trains only began running through it in 1927 due to a dispute over the tracks. In 1975, the building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, and in 1999 it was inducted into the Railway Hall of Fame. Currently, the station serves Via Rail, Amtrak, and GO Transit trains, as well as the dedicated Union Pearson Express to the airport and subway trains running through the station under Front Street.

The scene was filmed Built in 1917, Parkwood Estate was the former home of GM of Canada founder Samuel McLaughlin. The McLaughlin family moved out in 1972, and in 1989 the estate became a historic site and is now a museum.

The scene was filmed Osgoode Hall was designed by John Ewart and William Warren Baldwin in the Neoclassical and Palladian styles. It opened in 1832 to house the lawyers of the Ontario Legislative Assembly and their law school, which was later renamed Osgoode Hall Law School. The building currently houses various provincial courts and the Law Society of Ontario with its Great Library.

The scene was filmed The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres are the last surviving Edwardian theatres. The theatres opened in 1913 as the flagship venue of the Marcus Loew theatre chain and were designed by Thomas W. Lamb. The Elgin Theatre on the first level is decorated with gold and marble, with a domed ceiling, while seven floors above is the Winter Garden Theatre, covered with botanical murals, garden trellises, and columns shaped like tree trunks. The upper theatre closed in 1928 as the lower theatre was converted for talking pictures, and the upper theatre remained closed until the building was acquired by the Ontario Heritage Foundation in 1981.
