The scene was filmed at The Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of five halls that make up the Los Angeles Music Center, the others being the Mark Taper Forum, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre, and Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theatre. The building was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, with acoustics developed by Minoru Nagata and Yasuhisa Toyota. Although initial funds were donated in 1987 and construction began in 1992, due to various fundraising issues, the hall itself was only completed in 2003 at a cost of $274 million. Externally, the hall consists of a series of sweeping, organic walls of polished stainless steel.

The scene was filmed at After the success of the nearby Egyptian Theatre, showman Sid Grauman built the Chinese Theatre in 1927, designed by architects Meyer and Holler. This grand movie palace was built at more than twice the cost of his previous venue and is known for its splendor both inside and out. It was at this theatre that the famous celebrity handprints began, starting with Norma Talmadge before construction was even completed, and now featuring over 200 concrete blocks in the forecourt. Grauman hired specialist Jean Klossner to develop an extremely hard concrete specifically for preserving the handprints.
