The scene was filmed at The Merry-Go-Round carousel was built in 1926 in San Diego and moved to Griffith Park in 1937 by the Davis family. The carousel features 68 richly decorated horses and is the world's only surviving four-sided carousel by the Spillman Engineering Company. At the center of the carousel is a Stinson 165 military organ with a repertoire of over 1,500 songs. It was on this carousel that Walt Disney first got the idea for Disneyland while watching his daughters ride.
