The film's locations are very different from the familiar places of the Dursleys' home, the station, and Hogwarts; this film features many urban scenes and scenes shot in the forest. Therefore, the team had to put effort into selecting locations. The film was predominantly shot in London and Bristol, as well as in the outskirts of the capital, but classic castle locations also made an appearance.
