The scene was filmed at Riverview Hospital, a psychiatric hospital opened in 1913. The hospital expanded to several buildings until it closed in 2012. The vacant buildings were actively used for filming movies and TV shows. In 2017, demolition of old structures began to make way for new psychiatric facilities on the campus.

The scene was filmed at This building was opened in 1934 as a treatment center for World War I veterans. It included a main building and a separate dining block for veterans. The main building was expanded in 1945 and reopened in 1949 as the Crease Clinic of Psychological Medicine, a short-term psychological treatment center. The building is now used almost exclusively for film shoots.

Former Fantasy Gardens

The scene was filmed at Fantasy Garden World began as a small amusement park in the early 1970s. In 1984, the park was bought by British Columbia Premier Bill Vander Zalm, who gave the park a Christian theme and used it as his personal home. Allegations that the park was a conflict of interest led to Zalm's resignation in 1991 and the sale of the park soon after. The front of the park featured a small medieval-style village, in front of which stood a miniature of Kasteel Coevorden in the Netherlands, the ancestral home of Captain George Vancouver. At the back of the park were the Biblical Gardens, filled with many religious icons. In 2010, the village was demolished to make way for a condominium development, leaving only the Dutch castle and part of the gardens on the site of the village.

The scene was filmed at This former manufacturing plant was used for many years as a popular filming location due to its grim appearance. It featured streets, alleys, warehouses, and rooftop walkways. In the summer of 2015, the building was demolished for new development.

The scene was filmed at Heritage Woods is a secondary school that opened in 2004, designed by Killick Metz Bowen Rose Architects. The building became the first school in Canada to achieve LEED Silver status.

Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (UBC)

The scene was filmed at The Chan Centre is a magnificent concert venue located on the campus of the University of British Columbia. The main Chan Shun Concert Hall features a distinctive floating canopy and beautiful teak wood walls. The smaller Telus Studio Theatre has three-tiered seating that can be moved into various configurations. The building also includes a small cinema, the Royal Bank Cinema, a beautiful soaring foyer, and various versatile backstage spaces.
