The scene was filmed at Fantasy Garden World began its life as a small amusement park in the early 1970s. In 1984, the park was purchased by British Columbia Premier Bill Vander Zalm, who gave the park a Christian theme and used it as his personal home. Allegations that the park was a conflict of interest led to Zalm's resignation in 1991 and the sale of the park shortly thereafter. The front of the park featured a small medieval-style village, in front of which stood a miniature replica of Kasteel Coevorden in the Netherlands, the ancestral home of Captain George Vancouver. The back of the park contained the Biblical Gardens, filled with numerous religious icons. In 2010, the village was demolished to make way for a condominium development, leaving only the Dutch castle and part of the gardens on the site.
