The scene was filmed This library, designed by Arthur Erickson and opened in 1997, occupies a central place on the UBC campus. With its postmodern architecture, the entire building was designed to resemble an open book. Initially, it was planned to extend the library in the opposite direction, but development plans changed, and now the building ends with a simple plaster wall, contrasting with the expressive glass facade at the front.
