The scene was filmed at the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library, built in 1995, occupies an entire city block in downtown and was designed by Moshe Safdie of DA Architects. The large central atrium is surrounded by the library on one side and several floors of reading rooms on the other. A 21-story office tower and retail spaces adjoin the main building.
