The scene was filmed at A Gothic Revival mansion built in 1914 for Sir Henry Mill Pellatt at a hefty sum of $3.5 million. After several owners, the mansion became city property in 1933 and was soon leased to the Kiwanis Club for 74 years. Currently, the mansion is open for tours.

The scene was filmed at Knox College was founded in 1844 as a graduate theological college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of Canada. It moved to its current neo-Gothic building in 1915.

The scene was filmed at The Four Seasons Centre is a 2,071-seat theatre built in 2006 to a modernist design by Diamond and Schmitt Architects. The project was initially proposed in 1984, but funding issues delayed construction until 2002. The interior features a five-tier auditorium with state-of-the-art acoustic engineering, including extensive rubber isolation of the entire structure to reduce noise from streets and subways.
