The scene was filmed at Eaton Centre was built in 1977 by Timothy Eaton to house the flagship store of his eponymous department store chain in Toronto and retained the name despite the bankruptcy of Eaton's in the 1990s. The center of the mall features a vaulted gallery with a glass ceiling designed by Eberhard Zeidler. In the 2000s, the mall was rebuilt on the Yonge Street side to add street-facing stores with varied facades to create the illusion that it consists of several buildings.

The scene was filmed at Ching Lane, a short alley in downtown Toronto, is named after Sam Ching, the first Chinese entrepreneur in Toronto, who opened Sam Ching & Co. Chinese Laundry in 1878.
