The scene was filmed at The oldest surviving commercial building in downtown was built in 1893 for gold mining millionaire Lewis L. Bradbury by George Wyman & Sumner Hunt. Behind the building's soft Romanesque exterior lies a richly decorated Victorian courtyard with a massive skylight, wrought iron railings, marble staircases, and cage elevators. Having fallen into disrepair over the years, the building was extensively renovated in 1991, and in 1996 it housed the Los Angeles Police Department's Internal Affairs Division, as well as several other government agencies.
