The scene was filmed at Washington Square - a famous park in Greenwich Village, originally created in 1826 as a military parade ground for Washington. In 1850 the site was turned into a proper park, and in 1889, to mark the centennial of George Washington's inauguration, an arch was built in the style of the Arc de Triomphe. The fountain in the center of the park was built in 1852 and underwent a major renovation in 1934.

The scene was filmed at Located at the end of The Mall and next to the lake, Bethesda Terrace is a landmark of Central Park. Built during the Civil War, the terrace is adorned with intricate ceramic tiles and the "Angel of the Waters" fountain, designed by the prominent American sculptor Emma Stebbins.
