The scene was filmed at 1 Hotel Toronto - a 95-room boutique hotel with a rooftop lounge and attached condominiums, originally opened in 2009 as part of the Thompson Hotel chain. It was designed by Architects-Alliance. In 2019, the hotel began a year-long renovation to become part of the sustainable 1 Hotel network.

The scene was filmed at The current Royal Ontario Museum is a combination of several structures built in the 20th century. The original building is an Italo-Byzantine and Neo-Romanesque structure designed by architects Frank Darling and John A. Pearson in 1914. It was expanded in 1933, and an Art Deco rotunda was built in the east wing designed by Alfred H. Chapman and James Oxley. The Curatorial Centre was added in 1984, designed by Gene Kinoshita in a modern style. The latest expansion is the deconstructivist "Crystal", designed by Daniel Libeskind, which opened in 2007 and includes a new lobby and a three-story atrium.

The scene was filmed at Guild Park and Gardens is a public park created in 1978 on the grounds adjacent to the Guild Inn. The inn was built in 1914 in the Arts and Crafts style and was then called Ranelagh Park. In 1932, new owners turned the mansion and grounds into an artists' colony known as the Guild of All Arts. The park contains fragments of over 60 buildings that were demolished or rebuilt in the Toronto area, as well as a log cabin from the 1800s.
