The scene was filmed at Built in 1941 on the site of a former amusement park, the R.C. Harris plant currently supplies almost half of Toronto's drinking water. The building was designed in the Art Deco style and is popularly known as the Palace of Purification for its grand architecture both inside and out. The plant was named after Rowland Caldwell Harris, who was Toronto's Commissioner of Works at the time of construction.

Allan Gardens

The scene was filmed at Allan Gardens began its life as a garden and conservatory created by the Toronto Horticultural Society in 1860 and was fully transferred to the city in 1888. The park houses a conservatory known as the Palm House, consisting of six greenhouses built in 1910 after the old Horticultural Pavilion was destroyed by fire.

The scene was filmed at FESTI is a private college for training firefighters and other emergency services personnel, part of the Pearson Airport Fire Service where it is located. The main building includes a 90-seat theater, several other classrooms, and common areas for students. The building was designed by Kleinfeldt Mychajlowycz Architects in 2007 and is a LEED Silver building with a green roof and a large solar panel. The 40-acre site features various training buildings, towers, aircraft mock-ups, and other facilities for training in various complex scenarios.

The scene was filmed at Metro Hall is a 27-story office building built in 1992 that houses municipal offices of the City of Toronto. The main floor of the building contains council chambers that were used only until 1998, when city governments of various levels were amalgamated and moved to City Hall.

The scene was filmed at The current Royal Ontario Museum is a combination of several structures built in the 20th century. The original building is an Italate and Neo-Romanesque style structure designed by architects Frank Darling and John A. Pearson in 1914. It was expanded in 1933, and an Art Deco rotunda was built in the east wing designed by Alfred H. Chapman and James Oxley. The Curatorial Centre was added in 1984, designed by Gene Kinoshita in a modern style. The latest expansion is the deconstructivist "Crystal", designed by Daniel Libeskind, which opened in 2007 and includes a new lobby and a three-story atrium.
