The scene was filmed at the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library, built in 1995, occupying an entire city block in downtown and designed by Moshe Safdie of DA Architects. A large central atrium is surrounded by the library on one side and several floors of reading rooms on the other. Adjoining the main building is a 21-story office tower and retail spaces.
