The series was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Filming took place on real city streets, in historic districts, and on modern studio lots. Industrial zones and suburban landscapes were used to create an authentic atmosphere, reflecting the features of local architecture. The variety of locations helped emphasize the uniqueness of the project, creating a realistic sense of time and space.

The scene was filmed at the Academic Quadrangle of Simon Fraser University, a slender two-story classroom building raised above the ground, with a fountain and greenery in the center. The entire campus is built of unfinished concrete, giving it a very distinctive and unusual look.
