The scene was filmed in Toronto at Union Station - it is the largest train station in Canada and the third with that name. Construction began in 1914 west of the old station and was completed in 1920. Due to a dispute over the division of railway tracks, the station could not serve trains until 1927. In 1975, the building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, and in 1999 it was inducted into the Railway Hall of Fame.
