The scene was filmed at Originally known as the Dominion Bank Building, the 12-story building at the base of the hotel was built in 1914 as the bank's headquarters and housed the largest vault in Toronto at the time. The bank branch finally closed in 2000, and after several years of renovation, a 51-story condo hotel with a 2-story penthouse was built.

The scene was filmed at A large historic hotel in downtown Toronto, opened in 1929 as part of the Canadian Pacific Railway's chain of grand hotels across the country. The hotel currently has 1,365 rooms, several conference halls, a bar, and a small shopping arcade in the basement.

The scene was filmed at Hearn Generating Station is a decommissioned power plant, originally built as a coal-fired plant in 1951 and converted to natural gas in the 1970s. The station was closed in the 1980s, and the site has been largely unused since. Most of the equipment inside the station was removed in 2002 when plans were made to turn the site into a film studio, but those plans were eventually abandoned.
