The scene was filmed Aldwych station originally opened in 1907 as Strand station and served as the terminus of a short branch of the Piccadilly Line. In 1962, due to low patronage, the station's hours were reduced, and in 1994 the station was closed. The accessible tunnels and preserved platforms make the station a popular filming location.

The scene was filmed Drury Lane was designed by Benjamin Dean Wyatt and opened with a production of "Hamlet" in 1812. It was built after the old theatre was destroyed by fire, and it is the fourth theatre to stand on this site. Originally, the theatre seated over 3,000 spectators (compared to 3,600 in the previous building), but after a major renovation in 1922, its capacity was reduced to 2,000.
