The scene was filmed Although colloquially known as Grand Central Station, the building has borne its current name since its construction in 1903, replacing the older Grand Central Depot. The terminal has 44 platforms, more than any other train station in the world, all underground and divided into two levels. The most famous part of the terminal is the cavernous Main Concourse, topped by an intricate astronomical ceiling mural created by architect Whitney Warren and artist Paul César Helleu.
