The station was designed primarily by John and Donald Parkinson in a mishmash of various styles. Across the tracks, connected by an underground tunnel, is the Patsaouras Transit Plaza, designed by Ehrenkrantz & Eckstut, where several bus lines operate and metro offices are located.
