The scene was filmed at The Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of five halls that make up the Los Angeles Music Center, the others being the Mark Taper Forum, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre, and Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theatre. The building was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, with acoustics developed by Minoru Nagata and Yasuhisa Toyota. Although initial funds were donated in 1987 and construction began in 1992, due to various fundraising issues, the hall itself was only completed in 2003 at a cost of $274 million. Externally, the hall consists of a series of broad, organic walls of polished stainless steel.

The scene was filmed at The iconic landmark originally began its life as two separate piers with different owners and purposes. The first was the Municipal Pier, built in 1909 to carry sewer pipes from the beach. The shorter Pleasure Pier was built in 1916 by Charles and Arthur Looff to house an amusement park. The distinctive entrance arch and bridge were built in 1938. The pier was acquired by the city in 1974 and saved from demolition thanks to a public campaign. Currently, the pier houses the Pacific Park family amusement park with a solar-powered Ferris wheel, arcade games, a museum, an aquarium, a carousel, and several restaurants.

The scene was filmed at The Pacific Design Center is a 1.6 million square foot building built for the design community, housing furniture stores, showrooms, conference rooms, a branch of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and several restaurants. The building was designed by architect Cesar Pelli with the assistance of Norma Merrick Sklarek and opened in three sections: the "Blue Center" in 1975, the "Green Center" in 1988, and the "Red Center" in 2013.

S.S. Lane Victory

The scene was filmed at S.S. Lane Victory is a Victory-class cargo ship built in 1945 during World War II to deliver food and aid across the Pacific. The ship resumed service during the Korean War to assist in the evacuation of thousands of military personnel and civilians. It was last commissioned to deliver ammunition and cargo during the Vietnam War, after which it was placed in preservation. In 1992, the ship underwent extensive repairs and modernization in dry dock and has since served as a museum and training vessel.
