The scene was filmed Bryant Park is located in the city center, housing the New York Public Library. Originally opened in 1847 as Reservoir Square, it was renamed Bryant Park in 1884. Over the years, the park deteriorated until a renovation in the 1980s, when the entire park was rebuilt over the newly constructed underground library stacks.
