The scene was filmed at Bryant Park is located in the city center, home to the New York Public Library. Originally opened in 1847 as Reservoir Square, it was renamed Bryant Park in 1884. The park deteriorated over the years until a renovation in the 1980s, when the entire park was rebuilt over the newly constructed underground library stacks.

The scene was filmed at Located beneath the current Bay Station, Bay Lower operated for only six months in 1966. Since then, the platform has been used by the TTC for operator training and design experiments, and has often been used for filming to avoid disrupting regular subway service.
