The scene was filmed Although commonly known as Grand Central Station, the building has been called Grand Central Terminal since its construction in 1903, replacing the older Grand Central Depot. The terminal has 44 platforms, more than any other train station in the world, all underground and divided into two levels. The most famous part of the terminal is the cavernous Main Concourse, topped by an intricate astronomical ceiling mural created by architect Whitney Warren and artist Paul César Helleu.

The scene was filmed Located beneath the current Bay Station, Bay Lower operated for only six months in 1966. Since then, the platform has been used by the TTC for operator training and design experiments, and has often been used for filming to avoid disrupting regular subway service.
